#HandyMateTape OK, so I love tools and gadgets and was intrigued by a “digital tape measure”. This is not a laser measuring device – it is still a traditional tape measure. I’m not exactly sure why you need such a thing, as all you have to do is look at the markings on the tape itself to see how long something is, but this little device also displays the distance that you have the tape pulled out to in a digital display along the top. You can easily convert units at the press of a button so see the distance in feet and inches, inches only (both fractions and decimals), and centimeters. You can set it to measure from either the front of the tape or the rear of the casing, which is handy. The locking lever works extremely well so the tape doesn’t retract until you are ready for it to. In fact, the whole tool appears to be extremely well made and feels super durable without being very heavy.
