Meetup is an online social networking portal that facilitates offline group meetings in various locations. Meetup allows members to find and join groups unified by a common interest such as ecommerce. Users enter their ZIP code or their city and the topic they want to meet about, and the website helps them arrange a place and time to meet. Meetups are not allowed to be commercial, but businesses can sponsor a meetup group.
In an on-going effort to provide educational opportunities to anyone interested in Internet marketing or selling online, we have decided to sponsor a Meetup group called “Grow Your Online Sales”. It will meet the first Wednesday of each month at Garcia’s restaurant in the Denver Tech Center. The first Meetup is scheduled for next week – March 7 at 12:00 noon and will cover YouTube marketing.
