Last night on 60 minutes, Jeff Bezos of Amazon shared with us a technology that he says won’t be ready for about 4 years – the delivery drone. The concept is that you order something and have it delivered within 30 minutes. After posting this on Facebook, I received all types of comments of how people were going to shoot these down either for sport or to get “free stuff”.
While Amazon would like to claim this as their invention, it may have been more of a marketing ploy just before Cyber Monday (today), as others have been in the news with this technology earlier this year:

I wonder if 3D printing technology won’t be ready before then, allowing you to just “download” a file and print physical goods yourself (see my blog post about 3D printing). At any rate, here is the video recap of last night’s interview. What are your thoughts?
